| Unfortunately, the Master Alan Flack was unable to be present due to languishing in Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan. The good news is that Alan has in recent days been discharged to recuperate at home, everyone wishes Alan a speedy recovery. |

| Who would occupy the Chair? R.W.Bro. Paul Snape P.D.G.P. volunteered to take up the challenge. |
| After opening the Lodge, the first business was to welcome the Dep. D.G.P. Ian Nairn and in a role reversal Paul offered Ian the Gavel of the Lodge, which Ian accepted but thought better of it and returned the Gavel. |
| Following the necessary housekeeping items of business, a ballot was then taken for as a Joining Member W.Bro. Richard Higson, following the ballot, Richard was introduced to the Lodge and received a warm welcome from the Master. |

| Next up the main business of the evening, a demonstration of the Degree of St. Lawrence the Martyr, Richard Higson acted as Candidate and John Bicknell as Senior Deacon. After being invested by the Senior Warden Martin Stokes, the Candidates attention was directed to Terry Dickinson the Junior Warden who presented the Lecture in an excellent manner. |
| All business having been completed, Ian Nairn Dep. District Prefect congratulated and thanked everyone who had taken part in the evenings work. In reply R. W.Bro.Paul Snape thanked the Dep. District Grand Prefect for his generous comments, and then he added his thanks to everyone present for their support. |
| In conclusion Paul then invited the Dep.District Grand Prefect and all present to join him at dinner, which was a three course meal, consisting of Leek & Potato Soup, Steak & Ale Pie with Chips , followed by low calorie Toffee Sponge & Custard. |
| Following the meal Ian Nairn Dep. District Prefect commenting that although low in numbers, the meeting had been big on atmosphere, particularly the banter around the dinner table. |
